Bio
Career: Justin Suh was a two-time PING All-American first-team selection (2018-19) and a four-time All-American overall, earning PING third-team notice in 2017 and honorable mention status in 2017. He was a three-time All-Pac-12 first teamer and the 2018 Pac-12 Player of the Year. He is USC’s career record holder in rounds in the 60s (64) and the season record holder in stroke average (68.73) and wins (five), both coming in 2018. He was a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection who graduated with a degree in business administration in 2019 and finished with a GPA of 3.24.

2019: Justin Suh, as a 2019 senior, earned his second consecutive PING All-American first team selection and his third straight All-Pac-12 first team and PING All-West region honor. Suh became USC's first back-to-back first team All-American since Jamie Lovemark in 2007 and 2008 after leading the Trojans with a 69.39 stroke average, second-best in program history behind only his record 68.73 last season. He also matched his school record set last year with 21 rounds in the 60s and was par or better in 29 of 38 rounds … Suh, a 2019 Jack Nicklaus Award finalist and a Ben Hogan Award semifinalist, spent much of his senior season as the top-ranked amateur in the world (according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings). He finished 34-19-2 against other Golfweek.com top 25 players with the fourth-most wins in the nation, and was 77-33-2 against fellow top 50 players … He was selected as the Pac-12’s 2019 Men’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year (which honors athletics and academics) and earned his third consecutive Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention nod … Suh posted seven top 4 finishes as a senior – including two wins – and nine in the top 10 and finished no worse than a tie for 15th in all 12 of his starts … His two wins came at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational at 14-under 202 (67-67-68) and at the Southwestern Invitational at 12-under 204 (68-68-68). Suh's tie for fourth at the NCAA Championships was his second top 10 at nationals and his third in the top 20 … Other top finishes included taking second by a stroke at 16-under 200 (66-64-70) at the N.I.T., a fourth at the Pac-12 Championships at 4-under 280 (69-65-71-75) and ties for fourth at the Fighting Illini Invitational at 2-under 208 (73-67-68) and at the Amer Ari Invitational at 13-under 203 (68-64-71). He completed the regular season with a seventh at the Western Intercollegiate at 3-under 207 (64-74-69) and tied for 11th at the NCAA Austin Regional at 1-under 212 (71-72-69).
2018: Suh had one of the best seasons on USC golf history as a 2018 junior, earning PING All-American first team honors as well as being tabbed the Pac-12 Player of the Year. Suh broke USC's season records for wins (five), stroke average (68.73), lowering Jamie Lovemark's 2007 mark (70.10), and for rounds under 70 (21), lowering Lovemark's school standard of 20 from the same season. In addition to his 21 rounds in the 60s, he had 23 rounds under par and 28 of par or better in 33 rounds. He finished the season with eight top four finishes in 11 starts and nine in the top nine …He finished 18-2 against the top 25 … Suh was one of five finalists for the Jack Nicklaus Award, among 10 semifinalists for the 2018 Ben Hogan Award and was among the top 3 all season on the 2018 Haskins Award Watch List. He also played on the 2018 Palmer Cup Team and represented the U.S. at the 2018 World Amateur Team Championships, helping the American squad to second place and tying for third overall. Suh was a four-time Pac-12 Player of the Month as well … Suh captured his second career collegiate title and first of his junior season at the Trinity Forest Invitational at 10-under 203 (67-69-67) … He won his second title at the Saint Mary's Invitational with a dominating 13-under 200 (67-66-67) – that included 15 birdies and an eagle – to close fall play … He captured his third event of the season at the Amer Ari Invitational to open spring play, taking the title at 13-under 837 (69-66-68) while birdieing four of the final six holes, including 17 and 18 … Suh won again at the Southern Highlands Collegiate at 8-under 208 (68-70-70) for a two-stroke win, using an eagle on the 14th hole in the final round to help clinch it … He captured USC's 22nd Pac-12 individual title for his fifth win while leading the Trojans to the team crown, with a 16-under 268 (68-64-65-71) to win by four strokes. Suh began the day with a six-stroke lead, found himself tied late on the back 9 and finished eagle-birdie-par-par … Suh also tied for second at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite at 12-under 201 (67-71-63). The final round was USC's best since Rico Hoey carded the same score at the Amer Ari Invitational last season. Suh's previous best was a 65 at the 2017 Pac-12 Championships … Suh opened the season by tying for ninth in the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invite at even 210 (70-69-71), tied for fourth in the 36-hole Prestige at PGA West at 2-under 140 (71-69) and was fourth at the Western Intercollegiate at 8-under 202 (67-68-67), the fourth time this year he's broken 70 in each round … In addition to his tie for third at the WATC, Suh helped the U.S. to a 38.5-21.5 Arnold Cup win and received the Arnold Palmer Cup exemption for 2019 after the event … Suh finished sixth in the stroke play of the 2018 U.S. Amateur at 3-under 140 (71-69) but fell in the first round of stroke play. He won the Northeast Amateur Invitational in wire-to-wire fashion at 15-under 261 (63-65-67-66), finishing with a six-stroke victory. He tied for 11th at the Sunnehanna Amateur at par 280 (67-74-67-72) ... He earned 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors.

He was also tabbed a 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention pick … Suh, who had a streak of five straight top 11 finishes and wrapped the season with nine top 20 results in his final 10 outings, registered his first collegiate title with a 5-under 205 (68-67-70) to capture the Western Intercollegiate ... He was second at the Western Refining College All-American at 9-under 204 (69-68-67), tied for second at the NCAA Washington Regional at 4-under 209 (68-68-73) and tied for third at the Southern Highlands Collegiate at 5-under 211 (70-68-73). Suh tied for ninth at the Pac-12 Championships at 5-over 215 (72-78-65) thanks in part to his career best final round. He also tied for 10th at the Gifford Collegiate at 5-under 139 (71-68) and tied for 11th at The Goodwin at 3-over 213 (70-70-73). At the 2017 NCAA Championships, Suh tied for 19th at even 288 (67-70-72-79) and was leading his NCAA Championships quarterfinal match 1up on 17 against Illinois’ Dylan Meyer when play was stopped … Among Suh’s summer highlights was a berth in the U.S. Amateur, where he tied for 49th at 3-over 143 (72-71) to earn a berth into match play before falling in the first round. He earned his berth as medalist of his qualifying tournament … He was ninth at the Sunnehanna Amateur and tied for 18th at the Pacific Coast Amateur.

2016: Suh, as a 2016 freshman, earned PING All-American honorable mention and Pac-12 All-Freshman honors. He finished third on the team with a stroke average of 72.57, had eight rounds in the 60s, two top 10s and six top 20s, including a tie for 10th at the NCAA Championships at 3-over 283 (68-67-75-73) ... He got his spring semester off to a strong start in his fifth start by tying for 13th with a 5-under 211 (70-69-72) at the Amer Ari Invitational. He almost matched it with a tie for 14th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate at 3-over 219 (73-71-75). He posted a season-best tie for eighth at the Western Intercollegiate at 1-under 209 (67-74-68), tied for 19th at the Pac-12 Championships at 4-over 288 (70-69-71-78) and tied for 17th at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional at 10-over 226 (73-80-73). His fall action was topped by a tie for 39th at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at par 215 (67-71-77). He split his two matches at the East Lake Cup Championship Match Play, including a 5&3 win over LSU's Nathan Jeansonne ... After the season, Suh played as an amateur in the 2016 U.S. Open. He missed the cut by three strokes, finishing 36 holes at 8-over 148 (75-73). Suh also played in the 2016 U.S. Amateur, tying for fourth in stroke play at 4-under 136 (68-68) before falling 1up in the round of 64.
HIGH SCHOOL: Suh, who prepped at Evergreen Valley High in San Jose, Calif., is a rare a four-time qualifier for the USGA Junior Amateur who came to USC with a handful of big wins on his resume. Among the few who have qualified four times for the USGA Junior Amateur are PGA stars Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth ... Suh finished second at the 2015 California state championships as a senior (by one stroke) a year after winning it as a junior in 2014. The 2014 NGCA Junior Championship winner also won the Central Coast Section title in 2014 and 2015, the latter win in a one-hole playoff. As a 2013 sophomore, he tied for third at the Central Coast Section event ... He won the individual title at the 2014 Hogan Cup and took second at the 2014 Junior America's Cup. He was named the 2014 and 2015 San Jose Mercury News Boys Golfer of the Year and the 2013 Junior Tour of Northern California Player of the Year.
