THIS SEASON: Bernardo Herzer enters his third season of competition at USC.
2024 SEASON:
• ACWPC All-America First Team
• NCAA All-Tournament First Team
• All-MPSF Second Team
• MPSF All-Tournament Team
• Appeared in 25 games with 219 saves made
• Averaged 9.3 saves per game and 10.5 goals-against per game
• Set career high with 18 saves in USC’s NCAA semifinal OT win over Fordham
• Recorded double-digit saves in eight games, including 15 saves in USC’s MPSF Tournament semifinal OT win over Stanford
• Scored two goals — first career goal was at LMU on Oct. 11 and second vs. Stanford in the MPSF semifinal
• MPSF Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-Big Ten and ACWPC All-Academic honoree
2023 SEASON:
• ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention
• All-MPSF Second Team
• Averaged 9.6 saves per game in 19 appearances as a redshirt freshman
• Recorded 12 saves in his USC debut vs. Pomona-Pitzer on Sept. 2
• Set career high with 14 saves in a win over Stanford on Nov. 4
• Recorded nine double-digit save outings, including 10 saves in the MPSF final and 10 in the NCAA semifinals

• A member of the U.S. National Team
• Competed for Team USA at the 2025 World Aquatics World Championships in Singapore
• Was a member of the USA Youth National Team
• Competed at the 2022 FINA Youth World Championships
• Helped Team USA win silver at the 2022 Junior Pan American Games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Herzer was named Bay League MVP as a senior out of Mira Costa High... Helped team win 2019 league title and finish third in CIF Division I... A scholar athlete all four years... Also attended ES International School in Barcelona, Spain... Played club for Trojan, South Bay United, Bruin and Vikings... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Herzer is majoring in business administration... Parents are Bernardo and Jennifer... His grandfather played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian National Football League... His cousin, Brian Herzer, also attended USC... Says winning gold at the Junior Olympics was one of his most thrilling sports moments... Enjoys surfing, boating and free diving in his free time...
