He is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Before joining USC, Heidegger spent one season (2015) as a full-time assistant strength coach at California. At Cal, he assisted with football and served as the head strength coach for the women’s rowing, men’s golf and women’s golf programs.
Prior to his stop at Cal, the 35-year-old Heidegger worked with the Tulane football team during the 2014 season. While at Tulane, he also oversaw training for the track and field and cross-country programs.
Heidegger completed professional internships with the Washington (fall 2013) and Cal (spring 2014) football programs.
He was an assistant football coach at North Valley High School in Grants Pass (Ore.) in 2012.
Heidegger graduated from Oregon in 2012 with a bachelor’s of science degree in sociology. He threw the javelin for the Oregon track and field team (2010-2012).
He was born Sept. 22, 1988. His wife, Cammy, is a high school physical education/health teacher. He has two children named Jaxon and Hazel.
