Jake Cunningham was promoted to Director of Athletic Compliance in April 2022. He joined the Compliance Office as an Assistant Director. In his current role, Cunningham oversees all aspects of compliance for Women’s Beach Volleyball, Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and Men’s Golf. He also serves as the compliance liaison for Athletic Medicine, Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning & Drug Testing.
Cunningham has been a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) since 2018 and was selected by NAAC to receive a convention stipend in 2019.
Prior to USC, Cunningham served as compliance coordinator at Rutgers, where he oversaw athletic compliance for two sport programs and led the compliance monitoring efforts.
He was promoted to compliance coordinator after serving as the compliance graduate assistant and compliance intern, respectively, at Rutgers.
He earned a master’s degree in global sport business from Rutgers in 2018.
In 2016, he graduated from Wake Forest with a bachelor’s degree in economics and politics & international affairs, and a minor in history.
