HIGH SCHOOL: The 2021 Olympic Team Trials qualifier swam for Barrington High School and Barrington Swim Club, placing 26 out of 60 in the 100m backstroke with a qualifying time of 56.09 ... O’Leary was also a 2020 US Open qualifier in the 200m back (2:03.35) and the 200m fly (2:03.04), alongside being a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 100 fly (56.25) ... At the 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals, Griffin came in 11th in the 100 back (56.98), 10th in the 200 back and 16th in the 200 fly ... O’Leary is a four-time individual Illinois State Championship finalist, and has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors ... He was the 2022 IHSA State Champion in the 100 SCM backstroke and runner-up in the 100 SCM fly.
