THIS SEASON: Cameron Henry, a regular starter as a sophomore and junior, returns as a 2021-22 senior who will look to continue as a key contributor for the Trojans ... Henry played in two 2021 fall events, taking 20th at the Washington County Individual at 2-under 142 (72-70) and tying for 46th at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational at 10-over 220 (74-75-71). He has a stroke average of 72.40.
2021: Henry, as a 2021 junior, was a seven-time starter for the Trojans who finished with a 73.68 stroke average, seven rounds of par or better, two top 16 finishes and three in the top 26 … His season was highlighted by a tie for 10th at the Amer Ari Invitational at 5-under 211 (70-72-69), his final round a season-best. He also tied for 16th at the Southwestern Invitational at 6-over 222 (77-72-73) and tied for 26th at the Western Intercollegiate at 7-over 217 (71-76-70) … During the 2021 summer, Henry finished fourth at the Nevada State Amateur at 3-under 210 (76-64-70) and he took eighth at the Monterey City Amateur … Shortly before the 2020 fall semester, he won the GCAA Amateur Series at Oak Valley (Calif.) G.C. in August at 11-under 205 (69-71-65), his final-round 7-under a tournament-best round.
2020: Henry played in six events as a 2020 sophomore, starting five times, finishing with a stroke average of 75.57 to go with one round in the 60s ... That came in his season-opener at the Mea Lanakila Invitational, where he tied for 13th at 5-over 221 (68-77-76) … His next best finish was a 25th at the Southern Highlands Invitational at 3-over 219 (72-70-77), posting three counting scores en route to the Trojans’ first win on the season … His summer play was highlighted by a second at the Silverado Amateur at 7-under 209 (66-73-70) and a tie for eighth at the Memorial Amateur at 5-under 211 (72-66-73).
2019: Henry made his collegiate debut at the Western Intercollegiate and did so with a bang, tying for fifth at 4-under 206 (66-69-71). In the only event he played in as a freshman, he posted seven birdies in his debut round and had four in the second round … Henry’s 2019 summer was highlighted by a tie for 15th at the Canadian Men’s Amateur where he posted a 5-over 287 (74-72-71-70) … He tied for 23rd at the Bayonet Amateur at 7-over 223 (75-77-71) and tied for 26th at the Sahalee Players Championship at 11-over 299 (74-72-74-79).
HIGH SCHOOL: Henry prepped at Los Gatos (Calif.) High where he had a standout prep career. As a 2016 junior, he posted top 6 finishes at the Western Junior Championship, the NCGA Northern Cal Players Championships, the AJGA Enagic Junior Championships and the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier. In 2015, he posted top 7 finishes at the AJGA L.A. Junior Open, the AJGA ClubCorp Mission Hills, the PGA Junior Series at Bayonet, the NGCA Players Championship and the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier.
