CAREER: In his 4-year career (2 seasons at Kentucky and 2 at North Carolina), Silver has recorded 47 tackles through 30 games with 23 starts.
2025: Silver, who transferred to USC in the spring of 2025 from Kentucky, looks to compete for playing time on the defensive line as a redshirt senior in 2025. He was the No. 2 defensive lineman in the nation coming out of the transfer portal.
KENTUCKY: Silver started in all 12 games as a redshirt junior in 2024. He recorded 26 tackles, including 1 for loss (with 1 sack) and a QBH. He recorded a career-high 4 tackles, a TFL and a sack versus Auburn. He also tallied 4 tackles against Murray State.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2023, he appeared in 12 games with 11 starts. He recorded 17 tackles, including 2 for loss.
NORTH CAROLINA: As a redshirt freshman in 2022, Silver appeared in 3 games on the defensive line notching 3 tackles.
As a freshman in 2021, he saw action in 3 games and tallied 1 tackle.
HIGH SCHOOL: Silver, a five-star recruit, was rated as the No. 8 player in the nation by ESPN, No. 32 by 247Sports and No. 85 by Rivals. He was ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina by ESPN, No. 2 by 247Sports and No. 5 by Rivals. He was touted as the No. 3 defensive end in the nation by ESPN, No. 5 by 247Sports and No. 7 by Rivals. He was selected as an Under Armour All-American.
Prior to his senior season in 2022, Silver was selected as a Sports Illustrated All-American candidate. He recorded 47 tackles with 7 sacks.
As a junior in 2021, Silver tallied 47 tackles, including 13 for loss (with 7 sacks). He earned All-State and All-Big East 3-A Conference honors.
A multisport athlete, Silver also ran track and played basketball. He averaged 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds throughout his three-year basketball career.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Kentucky in the fall of 2024. He is now pursuing a certificate in Gerontology at USC.
