Bio
BREAKDOWN: Sophomore Drake London is a 6-5, 210-pound athletic guard who has great basketball instincts and has the ability to help the Trojans both offensively and defensively. He was one of California’s best two-sport high school stars and came to USC on a football scholarship as a wide receiver.
2019-20: London joined the team after the football season and was available for action for the first time on Jan. 2. He played in two games and had 3 rebounds in 6 minutes of action. He made his Trojan basketball debut at Washington on Jan. 5 and had a rebound in four minutes of work. He then missed the next 5 games with a viral illness which kept him away from the team. He returned to the Trojan bench on Jan. 20 vs. Utah. London also played 2 minutes and had 2 rebounds vs. Washington State on Feb. 15. During the football season, London had 39 catches for 567 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was named Pac-12 football Freshman of the Week on Nov. 18
HIGH SCHOOL: London graduated from Moorpark HS in 2019. As a senior, he averaged 29.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per game while leading his team to a 21-10 record. He was named to the CIF Southern Section Division 4 first team and to the L.A. Times All-Area team. As a junior, he averaged 19.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists. In football, he was named a 2018 PrepStar All-American and All-Camino League Co-Wide Receiver of the Year as a senior wide receiver at Moorpark HS. He had 62 catches for 1,089 yards (17.6 avg.) with 12 TDs in 2018. As a junior in 2017, he made Cal-Hi Sports All-State Juniors third team, All-CIF Division 5 and Los Angeles Daily News All-Area second team as he had 51 receptions for 1,032 yards (20.2 avg) with 11 TDs, plus he rushed 5 times for 123 yards (24.6 avg) and threw a 14-yard TD pass.
PERSONAL: Drake was born on July 24, 2001. His parents are Cindi and Dwan London. He is a Real Estate Development major at USC.
