As mentioned yesterday, wideout Jordan Cameron and San Jose State quarterback Jordan La Secla were high school teammates in Newbury Park.
But the Trojans have another, even more fascinating connection to La Secla. USC offensive lineman Abe Markowitz's father Barry played on the same 1968 Canoga Park High football team as La Secla's father Rich, capturing an LA City championship that season.
Also, Barry Markowitz played for current San Jose State head coach Dick Tomey on the junior varsity UCLA squad in 1972. Tomey was a Bruins assistant coach at the time.Â
