Morghan Medlock was the only freshman to appear in every game this season for the Trojans. Now a sophomore, the physical guard/forward is set to be a key factor once again in the Trojans[apos] gameplan. 2006-07 FRESHMAN SEASON
Medlock averaged 6.4 points and 4.3 reounds per game to finish as No. 4 scorer and No. 3 rebounder as a true freshman... Scored in all but one game, with five double-digit outings and one double-double at Utah... Topped out with 13 points against Prairie View A&M and had 10 rebounds at Utah... Was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line three times this season... Received Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention. HIGH SCHOOL
Medlock averaged 22 points, 15.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in her senior season at Narbonne High, which won its second straight Los Angeles City Section title in 2006... Received High Honorable Mention from MaxPreps following her senior year... Named a 2006 McDonald[apos]s All-American and WBCA All-American... Named Player of the Year by the Daily Breeze and LA Times... City Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006... Named to Press-Telegram Dream Team from 2004-06... Competed at the Nike All-America Camp in 2003 and 2004... Named to the 2005 Daily Breeze First Team and City Championship MVP in 2005 and 2006... Morghan Valencia Medlock was born on Jan. 9, 1988, in Pasadena, Calif.... The daughter of Shannon and Michael, her siblings are Peyton, Ryan, Nizhan, NayNay and Chaz... Enjoys shopping, eating and going to the beach in her spare time... Names her father as her biggest sports hero because of his knowledge of the game of basketball... Favorite movie is `The Color Purple[apos]... Has not decided on a major, but would like to become a designer or a publicist after she graduates.
