At USC:
Amber Bragdon begins her second season of running cross country for USC. 2014: Was limited to two competitions due to injury. Began her Trojan career by placing 25th with a time of 19:26.6 at the CS Fullerton Classic on Aug. 30. Set a 5K PR with a time of 18:18.00 to take 11th and help lead the Trojans to victory at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on Oct. 9. Came back during the outdoor track season to post a best of 4:52.04 in the 1500m to place 11th at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 3.
High School:
Bragdon is a 2014 graduate of Fountain Valley High in Fountain Valley, Calif...She ran a 5K best of 18:46 at the Clovis Invitational as a senior. She has a best 3-mile XC race time of 17:52.00 to place 14th at the 2012 Orange Country XC Championships...She was a 2012 All-Orange County honoree, 2011 Sunset League First Team selection and 2012 FVHS cross country MVP...She placed 10th at the 2013 Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational with a time of 18:43 on a 2.93-mile course...she has a best 2.93-mile time of 18:22 in taking 10th at the 2012 CIF Southern Division prelims...In track, Bragdon was the 2013 Sunset League 3200m champion and has bests times of 2:21.15 in the 800m, 5:05 in the 1600m and 10:51.84 in the 3200m races. She was an AP Scholar Award recipient.
Personal:
Amber was born on March 11, 1996 in Fountain Valley, Calif....Her parents are Shawn and Cynthia Bragdon....She is majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in the Honors in Multimedia Scholarship Program....Is involved with the Daily Trojan, volunteers for Visions and Voices...Is on the 2015 Dornsife Dean's List.
