BREAKDOWN: Junior 6-10, 240-pound forward Isaiah Mobley was a captain who could score both inside and outside and was a tough rebounder. He played 95 games and made 72 starts in his three-year career at USC and averaged 10.1 points and 7.0 rebounds in his career. USC went 73-25 in his three seasons for a 74.5 winning percentage. He scored 960 career points and grabbed 664 rebounds. He tested the NBA waters after his sophomore season, but returned for his junior season. After the 2021-22 season, he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round with the 49th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. His brother Evan was selected No. 3 overall by Cleveland in the 2021 NBA Draft.
2021-22: Mobley started all 32 games he played and led the team with a 14.2 scoring average and an 8.3 rebounding average, while ranking second in assists with 106. He scored scored in double-figures 24 times and scored under 8 points only once. Mobley was named first-team All-Pac-12 and was named honorable mention to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team. He was second among Pac-12 players in rebounding and seventh in scoring. He had six games with 20 or more points and 18 with 8 or more rebounds. He posted six double-doubles for the second consecutive season. He scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds vs. SDSU on Nov. 26 to earn the Wooden Legacy Tournament MVP. He scored 23 points and matched a career best with 13 rebounds vs. EKU on Dec. 7...also made a career-high five three-pointers. Missed two home games (Pacific & UCLA) due to concussion -like symptoms after suffering a non-displaced nasal fracture at Arizona on Feb. 5. Returned to action on Feb. 17 vs. Washington and had 12 points and eight assists without a turnover.
2019-20: Mobley started all 32 games in which he played and was second on the team in rebounding average 7.3 and third in scoring at 9.9 points per game. He really stepped up during the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight run, averaging 16.0 points and 5.3 rebounds, while making 61.0 percent of his shots (25-for-41). He finished with a flurry from three-point range, making 10 of 15 shots (66.7 percent) from beyond the arc in the postseason. He had 21 games with at least 6 rebounds and his 10 games with double figures in rebounds ranked third in the Pac-12. Mobley ranked third in the Pac-12 in rebounding and tied for third with six double-doubles. Posted his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the 2021 opener vs. CBU on Nov. 25. He then scored 6 points and had a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Montana on Nov. 28...also had 2 blocks. He had his 2nd double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds vs. BYU on Dec. 1 & 3rd with 13 points/10 rebounds at ASU on Jan. 9. Scored 16 points and added 12 rebounds vs. UC Riverside on Jan. 12 for his fourth double-double. He scored a then career-high 18 points and tied a career high with 4 assists vs. Washington on Jan. 14. He scored 7 points, had 4 rebounds & a career-best 4 blocks at Stanford on Feb. 2. Had 5th double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds at Washington on Feb. 11. Scored a career-high 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his 6th double-double on Feb. 17 vs. ASU. He missed the game vs. Oregon on Feb. 22 with a right calf strain. He scored 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting in the NCAA first-round game vs. Drake on March. He followed that up with 17 points vs. Kansas on March 22, making 4 of 5 shots from three-point range. In the Sweet 16 game vs. Oregon on March 28, he scored 13 points. He finished the season scoring a team-high 19 points in the Elite Eight loss to Gonzaga on March 30.

He had 5 or more rebounds in 19 of his 31 games played and his 164 total rebounds rank 11th on USC’s all-time freshman list. He scored in double figures six times and four times was within one rebound or one basket of a double-double. Mobley was third on the team with 20 blocks. Prior to the season, he had surgery to repair the fifth metatarsal in his left foot on June 13 performed by Dr. David Thordarson...he could not play on USC’s foreign tour to Spain and France, was back to action at the beginning of Fall camp. He started and scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the season opener vs. FAMU on Nov. 5. He scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half of the win vs. Pepperdine on Nov. 19. He scored 15 points and added 9 rebounds vs. Marquette on Nov. 29. He started on Dec. 1 vs. Harvard and scored 8 points and a career-best 11 rebounds. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and nine points vs. Washington State on Feb. 15. He started again on Dec. 29 vs. FGCU and had 8 points and 7 rebounds. He was 2-for-2 from three-point range for 6 points and added 7 rebounds in the win vs. California on Jan. 16.Also was 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and scored 8 points in the win vs. Arizona on Feb. 27..
HIGH SCHOOL: Mobley graduated in 2019 from Rancho Christian School in Temecula, Calif. He averaged 22 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game. He helped lead Rancho Christian to a 26-6 record and it was one of 14 teams to be selected into the CIF State Open Division Championships, where it fell in the first round to Westchester. Mobley was the only Californian to play in the 42nd annual McDonald’s All-American Game on March 27 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and he scored five points, had three rebounds and a team-leading four assists for the West squad. Mobley was ranked the No. 1 recruit in the state of California by 247Sports and the No. 4 power forward in the country. Mobley was also named the MVP of the Pangos All-American Game, the Jumpman Best of the West Game, the JB Showcase, the BattleZONE and the NBPA Top 100 Camp. USA Today named him to the All-California first team and to the national honorable mention team. In the 2019 national recruiting rankings, he was ranked No. 15 by ESPN.com and No. 17 by 247Sports and Rivals. During his junior season, Rancho Christian went 28-3 and finished in seventh-place in the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs and advanced to the Division I Regional semifinals in the state tournament. Mobley averaged 19.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks as a junior. He and fellow commit Onyeka Okongwu led the Compton Magic to the prestigious Adidas Gauntlet Championship before earning the “mythical national championship” later that summer in Las Vegas, Nev. He was named the MVP at both the NBA Top 100 Camp and the Pangos All-America Camp last summer.
PERSONAL: Isaiah was born on September 24, 1999 in San Diego, Calif. His parents are Eric and Nicol Mobley and he has one brother, Evan. Mobley is an Accounting major at USC.
