THIS SEASON: Reed Stemler enters his fourth season of competition at USC.
2023 SEASON:
• Scored four goals in his redshirt junior season at USC
• Scored in three games with one multiple-goal outing
• A member of the 2023 NCAA Tournament roster
2022 SEASON:
• Scored six goals as a redshirt sophomore at USC
• Scored in five games with one multiple-goal outing
• Set career high with two goals vs. UC Irvine on Oct. 7
• First goal as a Trojan came in opener vs. Concordia
• A member of USC’s 2022 NCAA Tournament roster
2021 SEASON:
• Played but did not score as a redshirt freshman
2020 SEASON:
• In a season shortened and delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, did not compete in 2020-21
NATIONAL TEAMS:
• Was a member of the U.S. Youth National Team
• Won gold with Team USA at the 2019 UANA Pan American Youth Championships
HIGH SCHOOL: Stemler was an all-league and Daily Pilot Dream Team first-team honoree as a senior out of Newport Harbor High, which reached back-to-back CIF SoCal finals... Was a second-team pick in both as a junior in helping his team win the 2018 CIF regional title and take second in CIF Division I... Team took third in CIF Division I in 2017, winning the league title along the way... Won gold with the U.S. Cadet National Team at the 2017 Darko Cukic Memorial Tournament... Also swam all four years... Played club for Newport Water Polo.
PERSONAL: Stemler is majoring in urban studies and planning... Parents are Janet and Bob... Has two sisters, Lian and Katie... His father, Bob, is a 1987 USC grad, and sister, Katie, graduated in 2012... Enjoys body surfing, skiing and going to the beach in his free time... Lists Kobe Bryant as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to heli-ski... Hopes to travel to Croatia and Switzerland... Would like to pursue a master’s degree after graduation... Born April 30, 2002.
