2021: Gear, a senior in 2021, returns after starting for much of the past 3 seasons at middle blocker and opposite hitter.
2020: He appeared in all 19 matches as a junior in 2020, starting 16 (8 at middle blocker and 8 at opposite hitter) ... Overall in 2020, he had 131 kills (third on USC) while hitting .259, plus 42 digs, 23 blocks (third on USC) and 11 aces (second on USC) ...
