THIS SEASON: Erin Tharp enters her third season of competition at USC.
2021: Tharp collected seven saves in two appearances as a redshirt sophomore... Earned ACWPC All-Academic honors and was named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2020: In a season cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tharp collected 18 saves in five appearances as a redshirt freshman as USC was 12-1 overall when competition was cancelled... Capped up for eight periods of work, allowing 12 goals... Made four saves in two periods of play in her USC debut vs. Concordia on Sept. 25... Set career high with seven saves during the first half vs. LMU on Feb. 21... Earned ACWPC All-Academic honors.
2019: Tharp redshirted her first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Tharp played water polo and swam at Corona del Mar High... Reached 2015 and 2017 CIF semifinals… A two-time First Team All-Orange County and First Team all-league selection… Earned the Newport Mesa Commodore Award in 2018… An honor student… A Girl Scout Gold Award recipient... Played club for Socal Water Polo.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Tharp was a member of the U.S. Youth National Team... Competed at the UANA Games, winning silver.
PERSONAL: Tharp is majoring in environmental studies and hopes to pursue a career as a marine ecologist… Parents are Kirsten and Glen… Enjoys scuba diving, going to the beach, and playing piano in her free time… Favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls… Hopes one day to dive the Great Barrier Reef… Wants to play professional water polo in Australia and go to the Australian Institute of Marine Science… Born on Aug. 11, 2000.
