The Women of Troy will move on to face Florida State in the quarterfinals.
GULF SHORES, Ala. – No. 5 USC Beach Volleyball (29-11) came into the NCAA Championship as the fourth seed, taking down 13th-seeded Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the Round of 16 on Friday, May 1. With this win, the Women of Troy will move on to face fifth-seeded Florida State on Saturday, May 2, with the winner moving on to the semifinals

In the No. 2 flight, Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley put the first point on the board for the Trojans with a commanding performance, defeating Maria Duda Fernandes de Melo and Millie Olsson in straight sets, 21-12, 21-12.
Madison Goellner and Kaileigh Truslow followed suit in the 5s, adding another point for the Trojans. They overcame Lizzie Denyer and Ashlyn Rough in straight sets, posting scores of 21-14, 21-9, growing USC's lead.
In the 3s, Quincy Stephens and Kerry Keefe secured the victory for the Trojans by taking down Bryce Ranney and Mil Maxwell Berthou. The pair won decisively with scores of 21-7 and 21-13, clinching the third and decisive point for the Women of Troy.
The top flight and 4s were left unfinished. The No. 1 pair of Zoey Henson and Sarah Wood split the first two sets, 14-21, 21-15, against Madison Morrow and Kristin Bobay. Meanwhile, Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok were narrowly ahead in the 4s, with partial scores of 21-14, 15-19 against Mia Stevens and Saskia Hernandez when play ended.
