No. 2 USC Women’s Golf Wins Fifth Consecutive Tournament Title
April 08, 2026 | Women's Golf
Jasmine Koo won her school-record seventh individual title with a 206 (-10).
NAPA, Calif. — The trophy case keeps getting bigger for the No. 2 USC Women's Golf team.
On yet another historic day for USC, the Women of Troy won the Chevron Silverado Showdown for their fifth consecutive title, plus sophomore Jasmine Koo became the program's winningest player after winning medalist honors at Silverado Country Club and Resort on Wednesday, April 8.
The Trojans tied the second-best round in program history with a 268 (-20) to win the tournament with an 827 (-37) at the par-72, 6,146-yard course. This is USC's first five-tournament win streak since the 2013-14 season, when the Women of Troy opened the season with five consecutive wins. Additionally, USC's six wins this season are the most since the Trojans won seven tournaments in Head Coach Justin Silverstein's debut season in 2018-19.
Heading into the final round tied for seventh, Koo fired the best round of the tournament with a 65 (-7) to win the individual title with a 206 (-10). In less than two seasons, the sophomore has quickly become one of the most accomplished players the program has ever seen. Her win was her third of the year, which is one shy of her four-win freshman campaign that was one of the best single-seasons in USC history.
Koo began the round with three birdies on the front side but made a real push with four birdies in five holes midway through the back side. She traded the lead with her teammates Bailey Shoemaker and Catherine Park — both of whom tied for second with 207s (-9) — before capping off her bogey-free round.
Park and Shoemaker helped USC sweep the top two and have five players in the top 10. Park also entered the final round tied for seventh, but an eagle on the par-4 No. 4 quickly put her in contention. She birdied No. 9 as she made the turn, then moved into the lead with a birdie on No. 11. Park had back-to-back birdies on Nos. 16 and 17, but had a bogey on No. 18 that sent her back into second place. All told, she had five birdies, an eagle and a bogey to finish with a 66 (-6) — her lowest round of the tournament.
Shoemaker, meanwhile, remained in the top three all day and fired a 68 (-4) for her best round of the tournament. Her lone bogey came on the par-4 No. 3, but she bounced back with a birdie on No. 5 to remain at par on the front side. She made a push to the top of the leaderboard with four birdies on the front side before finishing with a 207 (-9), which tied the best tournament score of her career.
Sophomore Kylie Chong was one of five Trojans to have her best round of the tournament on Wednesday, as she fired a 69 (-3) to finish in a tie for ninth with a 213 (-3). Freshman Sarah Hammett also tied for ninth after recording her best round of the tournament with a 70 (-2).
Rounding out the Trojans, sophomore Elise Lee finished in 14th with a 215 (-1).
From here, USC begins the road to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. with the Big Ten Championships, held at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Calif., which takes place from April 24-26. All pertinent information can be found on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
