The Women of Troy finished the Best in the West tournament 2-2.

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. – No. 4 USC Beach Volleyball (23-6) wrapped up the final day of the Best in the West tournament in Laguna Beach, falling to two of the best teams in the NCAA in No. 1 Stanford and No. 2 UCLA. With today's games, USC is now 23-6 overall and 9-6 against top 10 opponents this season.

MATCH #28: No. 1 Stanford def. No. 4 USC, 5-0
RECORDS: USC (23-5), Stanford (26-2)

In the No. 2 spot, Brooke Rockwell and Ruby Sorra from Stanford delivered a commanding performance, putting a point on the board with a straight-set victory over USC's Zoey Henson and Sarah Wood, 21-15, 21-15.

In the top flight, Kelly Belardi and Avery Jackson added another point for Stanford, defeating USC's Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley. The Trojans battled with the Cardinal, but Stanford ultimately edged them out in straight sets, 21-17 and 21-19.

In the third spot, Charlotta Bell and Logan Tusher from Stanford secured the dual with a win over Bella Satterwhite and Kerry Keefe, closing the match 21-19, 21-15.

After the decision, the No. 5 spot featured a three-set battle where Stanford's Elena Fisher and Chloe Hoffman emerged victorious against USC's Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok, 21-19, 19-21, 15-13. Indigo Clarke and Clara Stowell also got the job done for the Cardinal in the fourth flight, as they took down Alana Embry and Quincy Stephens 21-14, 21-16.

The 5s opened the dual with a decisive victory for the Trojans, as Madison Goellner and Kaileigh Truslow secured a win over Ava Williamson and Kenzie Brower, 21-12, 21-16.

From there, No. 2 Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley added another point for the Women of Troy, defeating Kaley Mathews and Ensley Alden in straight sets, 21-17, 21-17. This win gave USC a 2-0 advantage in the dual.

On Court 3, Quincy Stephens and Bella Satterwhite took on UCLA's Alexa Fernandez and Harper Cooper. Neither team wanted to go down without a fight, but in the end, the Trojans were the ones to fall in straight sets, 15-21, 25-27, as UCLA picked up its first point.

The top flight wrapped up shortly after that with a three-set battle as Zoey Henson and Sarah Wood were overcome by Sally Perez and Maggie Boyd with scores of 21-16 and 15-21, 7-15, which tied up the dual

With the match on the line, Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok went to a deciding third set against UCLA's Adelina Okazaki and Mallory LaBreche. The Women of Troy fought to stay in the match, but they ultimately fell 21-12, 18-21, 13-15, as the Bruins took the third and final point.
