No. 3 USC Beach Volleyball Wraps Up MPSF Midseason Rumble With Two Wins

The Women of Troy took down No. 16 Grand Canyon 5-0 and No. 13 LSU 3-2.
LOS ANGELES – No. 3 USC Beach Volleyball (14-2) wrapped up the MPSF Midseason Rumble on Saturday, March 7, at Merle Norman Stadium with two big wins. The Women of Troy first took down the No. 16 Grand Canyon Lopes 5-0 and followed that up with a 3-2 win over the No. 13 LSU Tigers. Today's wins have extended USC's winning streak to 10. The Trojans have also extended their home winning streak to 40.

Bella Satterwhite and Kerry Keefe started the day by putting a point on the board for USC as they dominated Michael Wittren and Youna Coens with scores of 21-5, 21-10. The second pair added another point for the Cardinal and Gold as Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley overcame Katie Keefe and Sarah Edler in a three-set battle, finishing 18-21, 21-15, 15-8.
The fifth flight saw Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok clinch the dual for the Trojans. They won a closely contested match against Jessica Drake and Jordyn Decker, with scores of 18-21, 21-16, 15-13. Following the decision, No. 3 Alana Embry and Quincy Stephens contributed a three-set win over Rhea Kohl and Mae Manthe, 21-19, 16-21, 15-12.
Zoey Henson and Sarah Wood completed the sweep for the Trojans in the first flight by prevailing over Karynn Garrow and Becca Drake. The match extended to a deciding third set where Henson and Wood secured the win, 18-21, 21-13, 15-13.
