Trojan freshman continues historic debut season with national recognition.
LOS ANGELES – USC freshman guard Jazzy Davidson has been named an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American, adding to her growing list of national accolades in her debut collegiate season.
The Clackamas, Oregon, native was the lone freshman to earn USBWA All-America honors yesterday, and now adds recognition from the Associated Press after a standout first season in cardinal and gold. Davidson was once again the lone freshman to receive All-America honors from the Associated Press.
This season Davidson turned in one of the most complete campaigns in the country, becoming the only Division I player to lead her team in points (17.9), rebounds (5.9), assists (4.3), steals (2.0) and blocks (2.1).
A dominant two-way presence, Davidson is the nation's only player averaging at least two blocks and two steals per game. She ranks second in the Big Ten and 20th nationally in blocks per game (2.07) while also sitting second in the conference with 60 total blocks. Offensively, USC is 12 points per 100 possessions better with Davidson on the court, according to CBB Analytics.
Davidson has recorded 28 double-figure scoring games this season, including 26 from Nov. 18 through March 1 and has posted 12 performances of 20 or more points. Her career-high 32-point outing against No. 10 Ohio State marked the first 30-point game by a Trojan this season and the first by a USC freshman since JuJu Watkins in 2024.
Among her standout performances, Davidson delivered a game-winning basket in the final seconds against NC State, recorded a 20-point, 16-rebound double-double against Tennessee Tech and posted 22 points and 12 rebounds against No. 21 Washington. She added 21 points and eight assists in a win over No. 8 Iowa and tallied 27 points with eight rebounds and eight assists against Illinois.
Davidson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year while earning First-Team All-Big Ten, Big Ten All-Defensive Team and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors, in addition to being recognized as the National Freshman of the Year by The Athletic.
With her latest honor from the Associated Press, Davidson continues to cement her place among the nation's elite, capping one of the most impactful freshman seasons in USC history.
