No. 12 USC Baseball Walks Off San Diego, 7-6, in the 10th

Adrian Lopez hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Logan Honma from third to move the Trojans to 17-0 on the season. USC's 17-game winning streak is the second longest in program history, trailing only the 1955 team's 19-game winning streak. San Diego falls to 7-9 with the loss.
The Trojans took a 5-3 lead into the seventh, but San Diego came up with three runs in the top of the inning to grab a 6-5 advantage. Will Stickney tied the game with a pinch-hit RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to even it up for USC.
The Trojans had the bases loaded with no outs in the ninth, but were unable to push across a run to end the game in regulation. USC again loaded the bases in the 10th, and this time Lopez came through, plating Honma on a medium depth fly ball to center.
Eight USC pitchers took the mound in the game, with Adam Troy picking up the victory after tossing a scoreless top of the 10th. Ben Cushnie worked scoreless eighth and ninth innings for the Trojans in his season debut. Ace Whitehead also had a scoreless outing, getting the start and tossing 2.0 innings in his USC debut.
The Toreros scored twice in the fourth inning to take a 2-1 lead, but for the second game in a row, Andrew Lamb sparked the offense with a three-run homer in the bottom half of the inning. It was Lamb's third homer of the year.
The visitors cut it back to a one-run game in the fifth, loading the bases and scoring on a wild pitch, but Paul Grossman got out of the inning with a flyout to center. Augie Lopez doubled off the wall in right to score Jack Basseer in the bottom of the sixth to push it to a 5-3 USC lead.
