February 23, 2026 | Women's Basketball
The award comes on the heels of a career best performance from Davidson against No. 10 Ohio State
ROSEMONT, Ill. - USC freshman guard Jazzy Davidson has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the fourth consecutive week, the conference announced Monday, as the rookie continues one of the most dominant debut campaigns in the nation. Davidson, a seven-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week honoree, shares this week's award with Illinois' Cearah Parchment.
Davidson delivered another monumental two-game stretch for the Trojans, opening the week with 24 points in a win over Wisconsin before exploding for a career-high 32 points against No. 10 Ohio State.
Against Wisconsin, Davidson paced USC with 24 points while adding five rebounds, six assists, four steals and three blocks. She accounted for 37 total points in the victory, including 13 points generated off her six assists, showcasing her all-around impact on both ends of the floor.
She followed with a historic performance against No. 10 Ohio State, pouring in a team- and career-high 32 points while shooting 6-for-9 from three-point range and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line. Davidson knocked down a career-best six three-pointers and matched her career high with 11 made field goals. She also contributed six rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block, accounting for 42 of USC's 88 points, including 10 more created off assists.
Her 32-point outing marked the most points scored by a Trojan this season and the most by a Big Ten freshman this year. It was also the first 30-point game by a USC player since Kiki Iriafen on March 24, 2025 vs. Mississippi State, and the first from a Trojan freshman since JuJu Watkins on March 8, 2024 vs. UCLA .
Davidson has now scored in double figures in 24 consecutive games, recorded 20 or more points in five straight contests and has tallied 12 20-point performances this season.
Nationally, she remains in a class of her own. Davidson is currently the only Division I player leading her team in points (18.0), rebounds (6.2), assists (4.4), steals (2.0) and blocks (2.2), an extraordinary stat-line that underscores her complete command of the game.
With her fourth straight weekly honor, Davidson continues to set the standard for freshmen in the Big Ten and across the country, further solidifying her place among the nation's elite.
Davidson and the Women of Troy will have their final road test of the season on Wednesday evening, as the Trojans face Penn State at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT in State College, Pa.
