Carsten Vissering ’20 Bound for 2026 Olympic Games With USA Bobsled Team
February 02, 2026 | Men's Swimming & Diving
Carsten Vissering etched his name in USC history during his time with the men's swimming and diving team. With the Trojans, he captured an NCAA title in 2018 as part of the 200 medley relay, posting a then–fastest-ever 22.50 breaststroke split. Vissering also added two Pac-12 titles to his career accolades before graduating in 2020.
Following his collegiate swimming career, Vissering transitioned to bobsledding in 2022, quickly rising through the ranks to earn a spot on the U.S. national team. He has since competed on the World Cup circuit and at the World Championships, gaining valuable international experience ahead of the Olympic Games.
Vissering has now qualified for the 2026 U.S. Olympic team and will compete at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. The two-man bobsled competition is scheduled to begin on Feb. 16, with the four-man event set for Feb. 21.
