USC Men's Volleyball's Klein and Pan Tabbed For MPSF/Molten Player of the Week Awards
February 16, 2026 | Men's Volleyball
Trojans swept the conference weekly awards for the first time this spring and for the sixth time since 2022
LOS ANGELES – USC men's volleyball senior outside hitter Dillon Klein (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Loyola HS) was named the MPSF/Molten Offensive Player of the Week, and junior libero Brad Pan (Cupertino, Calif./Cupertino HS) was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15, the league announced on Monday, Feb. 16.
Â
The awards are the third and fourth won by Trojans this season and is the seventh-career selection for Klein who was also chosen for the offensive honor on Feb. 2. It is the first-career honor for Pan and is the sixth time that a pair of Trojans have swept the weekly awards since 2022. Last year, USC players earned MPSF weekly honors eight times.
Â
Klein registered his 69th and 70th-career matches in double-digit kills and had his 10th and 11th over the 20-kill mark to lead the Trojans to a split with fifth-ranked UC Irvine. Klein totaled 47 kills (12e) on 89 attacks to hit .393 and averaged 5.22 kills per set and 5.61 points per set. He had 24 kills and 10 digs to log his fourth-career double-double in a five-set road win over the Anteaters and added six blocks to finish with 27.0 points. He then hit .487 with 23 kills (4e) on 39 swings to go with six digs, a block, and three assists in the teams' rematch.Â
Â
Pan averaged 1.75 digs per set in two matches against UCI. He set and then matched his career high with seven digs in each of the outings. His efforts in the five-set road win were instrumental in the Trojans' comeback from down two sets. He played mostly in the final three frames and provided the spark USC needed to complete the reverse sweep.
Â
Fifth-ranked USC (8-1, 1-0 MPSF) has two weeks between matches and will resume play on March 3 (Tuesday) when it hosts top-ranked crosstown rival UCLA (11-0, 3-0) at Galen Center. The teams take the floor for a 7 p.m. PT match that will be shown on Big Ten Network. The Trojans and Bruins will meet a second time that same week on March 6 (Friday) at Pauley Pavilion for another 7 p.m. start.
