USC Women’s Swimming & Diving Wins Crosstown Showdown Over UCLA

LOS ANGELES — The Women of Troy battled the UCLA Bruins on Friday afternoon and claimed another victory over their crosstown rival, earning a 174-126 win.
Justina Kozan led the charge for the Trojans, picking up wins in both the 200y butterfly and the 200y IM.
Alisee Pisane opened the meet with a win in the 1000y freestyle, touching the wall at 9:46.85 as the first event winner of the day.
The 200y freestyle saw a 1-2 Trojan finish, with Nicole Maier clocking a 1:44.22, followed by Claire Tuggle at 1:45.29.
Maier earned her second win of the day in the 100y freestyle, picking up crucial points in a close race.
The 500y freestyle featured another Trojan victory, as Tuggle came in first with a time of 4:45.26.
Ashley McMillan claimed victory in the 100y breaststroke with a qualifying time of 59.64. McMillan later posted her second qualifying time of the day in the 200y breaststroke, finishing in 2:09.11.
Kozan led a USC sweep in the 200y butterfly, as Sage Miller, Ella Flowers, and Camden Doane recorded the top four finishes in the event.
The Women of Troy capped off the meet with a dominant performance on the boards, led by sophomore Kate Miller. Miller swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter events with scores of 290.40 and 294.00, respectively. Jenna Jageliski finished second on the 3-meter, while Alena Lotterer earned runner-up honors on the 1-meter. Jageliski rounded out the Trojans' top-three sweep on the 1-meter.

The win over the Bruins marked the final meet of the regular season for USC women's swimming and diving. The Women of Troy will now turn their focus to the Big Ten Championships, set for Feb. 18–21 in Minneapolis, Minn..
