USC Track and Field Sweeps Men's 60m, Wins Eight Events at Stan Scott Invite

The Trojans won four women's and four men's events at Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas – The USC track and field team continued its strong indoor season at the Stan Scott Invite on Friday, winning eight events. The Trojans claimed victories in men's and women's shot put, women's 60m, men's 60m, women's 60m hurdles, men's 800m, women's 800m and men's 4x400.
On the track, the Trojans were dominant in the men's 60m, sweeping the top three finishes. Edward Nketia led the charge with a personal record of 6.58 seconds followed closely by Garret Kaalund (6.61) and Cordial Vann (6.62).
Will Jones, Jack Stadlman, Garrett Kaalund and Jaelen Knox closed out the day with a win in the men's 4x400, clocking the best time in the NCAA this season at 3:02.55.

- Asjah Atkinson delivered another standout performance, running a personal best of 8.18 seconds to win the women's 60m hurdles
- The women's 60m was also stacked with Brianna Selby taking first in 7.21 seconds. Rachael Uvieghara and Olivia Pace rounded out the top five with times of 7.33 and 7.38 seconds, respectively
- On the field, Ashley Erasmus led the women's shot put with a mark of 16.67 meters, while Kaden Garland secured the men's title at 16.74 meters
- Jackson Norris recorded a strong fifth-place finish in the men's long jump, reaching 7.31 meters
- Chase McCallum finished first in the men's 800m with a time of 1:49.92
- Joelle Trepagnier and Takiya Cenci posted fourth and fifth-place finishes in the women's 400m, running 55.02 and 55.28
- Mia Brahe-Pedersen ran 23.39 to take second the women's 200m, followed closely by Christine Mallard in 23.47, who took third
- Takiya Cenci, Joelle Trepagnier, Avery Lewis, and Makenna Barnett took bronze in the women's 4x400, with a time of 3:44.82
- The Trojans took first place in both the men's and women's 800m, with Oluwatosin Awoleye crossing the finish line in 2:08.83 and Chase McCallum claiming the men's title in 1:49.92 for a new personal best
