Trojans claim both the singles and doubles titles in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO – USC women's tennis emerged victorious on Saturday afternoon, walking away with both the singles and doubles titles at the USTA's SoCal Intercollegiate Championships. Freshman Krisha Mahendran and sophomore Jana Hossam captured the doubles title, while Mahendran and fellow newcomer Eugenia Zozaya were named the co-singles champions.

Five Trojans competed at the four-day event in San Diego, with four Women of Troy reaching the singles quarterfinals. USC freshmen Krisha Mahendran (ranked No. 19 in the ITA newcomer rankings) and Eugenia Zozaya impressed as the two would ultimately battle their way into the championship final, earning the title of co-singles champions.

In doubles, USC was equally as impressive, with the No. 1 seeded duo of Mahendran and Hossam advancing to the championship final. Competing in their first tournament together, the USC pair downed Nevada's Costache/Foerster 6-4 in the final to win the doubles title.
