Ashley Eramus, USC Track and Field Alums Set to Compete at 2025 World Athletics Championships

Over 15 current and former USC Track and Field student-athletes will appear in Tokyo this week
TOKYO – USC Track and Field will be well represented at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo starting this weekend. Ashley Erasmus will compete in shot put for South Africa with qualifying rounds beginning Sept. 20.
Erasmus is coming off a stellar first year as a Trojan where she broke the USC shot put record. Additionally, she achieved six first-place finishes in shot put across her freshman season and ultimately claimed bronze at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
Along with Erasmus, 14 USC alums are expected to represent their country at the 2025 World Athletics Championships including:
USA – Rai Benjamin, Anna Cockrell, Dalilah Muhammad, Jasmine Jones, TeeTee Terry
Canada – Aaron Brown, Andre De Grasse
Great Britain – Yemi John, Tade Ojora, Nicole Yeargin
Haiti - Chris Borzor
Italy - Nick Ponzio
Jamaica – Jordan Scott
Norway – Amalie Iuel
Spain – Lorea Ibarzabal
