Ellis Kahn has been named as the new Director of Video Operations.
LOS ANGELES – USC Men's Basketball added a familiar face to their support staff as Ellis Kahn becomes the team's Director of Video Operations, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"We're very excited to hire Ellis Kahn as our Director of Video Operations," Musselman said. "Ellis is an extremely diligent worker and has a very bright coaching future. He started at USC last season as a graduate assistant and did an excellent job helping our program in that role. When the position opened, Ellis was someone that we wanted to promote from within, and we feel as though he will be a great addition to our coaching staff."
Kahn steps into this role after serving as a graduate assistant for the Trojans during the 2024-25 season. In USC's first season in the Big Ten, Kahn assisted the men's basketball coaching staff with operations and administrative needs. He also helped with player development, assisting staff members with small group and individual player workouts. The Manhattan Beach native also helped the previous director of video operations with opponent scouting and video analysis.
Prior to USC, Kahn was a graduate assistant at Arizona State for one season, learning under Head Coach Bobby Hurley. During his time with the Sun Devils, Kahn supported the staff in various ways, including arranging travel, providing video scouting reports, and offering player support. Not only that, but he oversaw the student manager team for Arizona State.
Before his graduate career, Kahn was the head student manager and practice player at the University of Portland. He assisted the coaching staff with all of their logistical needs while learning software like Synergy and Sportscode. He also assisted with the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, collaborating with the staff to make sure the summit ran as smoothly as possible.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be named Director of Video Operations," Kahn said. "Thank you to Coach Musselman and the coaching staff for believing in me. I'm excited to continue making an impact with the program and to contribute in an even greater way moving forward."
He graduated with his bachelor's in business administration and finance from the University of Portland. He will begin in his role with the program immediately.
