June 17, 2025 | Men's Water Polo, Women's Water Polo
The three Trojans have excelled in the classroom and in the pool in their USC careers to earn national recognition from Collegiate Sports Communicators.
USC water polo has planted three Trojans on national academic honor rolls with their Academic All-District Team selections, as announced this week by Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC). On the men's At-Large side, junior Andrej Grgurevic is on the list for Academic All-District honors, while seniors Tilly Kearns and Isabel Zimmerman boast honors on the women's At-Large side for their first career CSC Academic All-District honors.
All three Trojans boast cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or higher in their respective majors. An accounting and finance major in USC Marshall, Andrej Grgurevic was picked to the CSC Academic All-American Third Team last season, so he is now in position to become just the second USC men's water polo player to earn multiple Academic All-America honors when those are voted upon and announced next month. He was also named to the All-MPSF Second Team and NCAA All-Tournament Second Team in his junior season.
A three-time ACWPC All-American and two-time Olympian, senior Tilly Kearns has also shined in the classroom as evidenced by her CSC Academic All-District honors. A communication major out of USC Annenberg, Kearns also has a shot to earn a place on the CSC Academic All-America lists when those are announced next month.
With a perfect 4.0 GPA earned in her senior season, Isabel Zimmerman has her secured her place on the CSC Academic All-District Team. USC's TAPA Community Service Award winner in 2025, Zimmerman has been working toward a path to medical school in finishing her USC degree in health and human sciences from USC Dornsife.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
