April 30, 2025 | Men's Golf
LOS ANGELES - USC men's golf continues the postseason with its selection as the No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional (May 12-14) at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
In its second year under the helm of coach Mark Hankins, the Trojans will return to the NCAA postseason field, as this is USC's first regional appearance since 2021 (Tallahassee, Fla.). The Trojans will compete amongst the 13 teams vying for position in the NCAA Championships final site, which is set for the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 24-29.
"Our number one goal at the start of the season was to earn a team NCAA Championship birth and give ourselves a chance at a National Championship," head coach Mark Hankins said. "It's a full year of work and all 8 guys contributed to our success. We look forward to preparing and competing at a high level in Tallahassee."
The Trojans compete to return to the final site, as they haven't been since 2019.
Joining the Trojans in Florida (by seeding): No. 1 Ole Miss (SEC), No. 2 Florida State (ACC), No. 3 San Diego State (MWC), No. 4 Georgia (SEC), No. 5 Louisville (ACC), No. 6 Northwestern (Big Ten), No. 7 Notre Dame (ACC), No. 8 New Mexico (MWC), No. 10 Michigan State (Big Ten), No. 11 Furman (SoCon), No. 12 Augusta (SLC), No. 13 Davidson (A10) and No. 14 Florida A&M (SWAC).

Senior Gavin Aurilia and junior Antonio Safa have taken the lead for USC this season. Combined, the pairing boasts eight top-25 finishes; Safa recently posted a top-25 finish – his second of the season – at the Big Ten Tournament, as he tied for 23rd in the field. Joining them in the lineup are freshman Jack Buchanan, freshman Jaden Dumdumaya and sophomore Jack Jerge.
"The goal is to make it through with the guys," Aurilia said. "This is my only chance, so I just want to enjoy it and make the most of it."
