Amarion Dickerson comes to USC from Robert Morris University.
LOS ANGELES – USC Men's Basketball will make another addition to the roster for the upcoming season as the Horizon League's Defensive Player of the Year Amarion Dickerson signs with the Trojans, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"We are excited to welcome Amarion to the Trojan Family. Amarion brings a winning track record with him and will flourish in our system on both ends of the floor. He is extremely versatile, being able to play multiple positions, and fits right into our positionless USC basketball style of play."
Dickerson becomes a Trojan after playing at Robert Morris University this past season. The Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and All-Horizon League Second Team selection finished the season averaging 13.3 points and 5.9 points per game. He grabbed three double-doubles throughout the season, which included a career-high 27 points and 15 rebounds against Northern Kentucky. Throughout the season, the Cleveland native had five games where he scored 20 or more points and 12 games where he blocked three or more shots. He also led his team to the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Alabama, where he contributed 25 points and nine rebounds.
Prior to his time at Robert Morris, Dickerson spent two seasons at Mineral Area College. During his final season with the Cardinals, he led all junior college players in blocks, was third in total rebounds, and was fourth in steals. Along with that, he averaged 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game that season while leading his team to a Region 16 championship berth after his team went 29-3.
Dickerson is the third player to sign with the Trojans for the upcoming season.
