USC Women's Tennis Primed for Big Ten Tournament

No. 6 seeded Trojans return to familiar territory at Libbey Park in Ojai, Calif.
OJAI – The No. 6 seeded USC women's tennis team kicks off the postseason against No. 11 seed Michigan State on Wednesday, April 23 at the Big Ten Women's Tennis Championship Tournament. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. PT at Libbey Park.
USC is currently 15-6 and 9-4 in Big Ten play, locking down the No. 6 seed in the Conference Championship Tournament.
The Trojans previously swept Michigan State 4-0 back in March at Marks Stadium.

RANKINGS:
The Women of Troy enter this week ranked No. 16 in the country and boast three ranked singles and one doubles pair.
Junior No. 58 Emma Charney leads the way for USC in the singles rankings, followed by senior No. 71 Grace Piper and sophomore No. 103 Immi Haddad.
The Women of Troy also boast one of the top duos in the country in the No. 10 ranked pair of Lily Fairclough and Grace Piper.
SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE:
Michigan State, unranked in the ITA's Standings, received the 11-seed in this year's tournament, carrying an overall record of 13-11 and 5-8 in Big Ten play. The Spartans do not currently have any ranked players in singles or doubles.
