Ten Trojans Earn Men’s Water Polo All-Academic Accolades

Seven Trojans earned repeat honors across MPSF and ACWPC All-Academic honor rolls.
USC men's water polo has landed seven Trojans on the 6-8 Sports MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete list and six Trojans on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' All-Academic honor roll for 2024. The selections follow a historic season where the Trojans captured their third straight MPSF Tournament title and reached their 20th consecutive NCAA Tournament.
The squad boasts four repeat honorees and three new names on the MPSF All-Academic honor roll. Seniors Carson Kranz and Tom McGuire lead the list with their third set of MPSF academic honors, with junior Andrej Grgurevic and redshirt sophomore Bernardo Herzer collecting their second set of accolades. They are joined by first-time recipients Zach Bettino, who was freshly eligible for the award this season, and seniors Jake Carter and Connor Cohen. All seven Trojans boast cumulative GPAs over 3.0 and are at least a sophomore academically with one full academic year completed at USC.
Grgurevic, Cohen and Herzer are also joined by Spencer Averitt, Eric Hubner and Chase Landa for spots on the ACWPC 2024 All-Academic honor roll. All candidates boast cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale. This is Landa's first spot on the ACWPC honor roll, with the rest of the Trojan group collecting repeat honors.
The 10 Trojans represent four different academic degree programs spanning two schools at USC. Averitt (business administration), Bettino (business administration), Carter (real estate development), Cohen (real estate development), Grgurevic (accounting - finance), Herzer (business administration), Hubner (real estate development), Kranz (real estate development) and Landa (real estate development) all study at the USC Marshall School of Business. McGuire, a biomedical engineering major, hails from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
