USC's Shangfei Wang Wraps Up Trojan Diving Career With All-America Honors on Three-Meter Springboard

Federal Way, Wash. – USC diver Shangfei Wang finished fifth in the three-meter diving event to highlight the third evening of competition for the Trojans at the 2025 NCAA Championships.

Wang finished fifth overall in the 3-meter springboard event, tallying 393.10 points in the championship final. During prelims, he scored 376.00 points. His finish is the best by a Trojan in more than 25 years.

Competing in the consolation final of 3-meter diving, Moritz Wesemann finished second with 430.00 points. Just last night, Wesemann was third overall in the 1-meter competition.

During prelims, Krzysztof Chmielewski finished 22^nd in the 200y IM, clocking a 3:42.55, while Luke Maurer finished 35^th in the 200y freestyle in 1:33.47.

USC's breaststroke contingent clocked season bests across the board as Junhao Chan (51.53), Chris O'Grady (51.61) and Ben Dillard (51.87) finished 18^th, 19^th and 27^th, respectively.

USC turned in a season best 3:04.14 for 16th in the 400y medley relay as Michal Chmielewski, O'Grady, K. Chmielewski and Maurer combined to earn Second Team All-America honors and close out the evening session.

Through three days of competition, USC sits in 15^th place with 55 points. Texas leads the way with 368 points, followed by California in second with 312.5 and Indiana in third with 304 points.

Action concludes tomorrow with swim prelims scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PT. The morning session will feature the 200y butterfly, 200y backstroke, 100y freestyle, 200y breaststroke, 1650y freestyle and men's platform diving. The evening session will include the 400y freestyle relay. All sessions can be streamed on ESPN+.
