USC Men’s Tennis Gathers Eight Wins at Pacific Coast Doubles Championships

The Trojans had three players earn round of 16 appearances during the four-day tournament
LA JOLLA, Calif. – USC men's tennis took advantage of the in-season tournament, as three doubles teams made it to the round of 16, and the doubles squad of senior Peter Makk and graduate student Tristan Bradley made it to the quarterfinals at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships.
The Trojans gathered eight wins during the USTA tournament, and assistant coach Bryce Pereira made it to the semifinals. Makk and Bradley continue highlighting the USC doubles program as they improved their season record to 8-2. The freshman pairing of Niels Hoffmann and Connor Church made their way to the round of 16, as they are now 4-1 on the season. The last team to earn a round of 16 spot was sophomore Volodymyr Iakubenko and senior Karl Lee. This is the first time the pairing has played together this season, as they are now 2-1.
The Trojans return to Los Angeles for the start of Big Ten play, as they take on Purdue and Indiana, with the first match happening at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 8 and the match against the Hoosiers starting at noon on Sunday, Mar. 9, with both matches being played at David X. Marks Tennis Stadium.
