USC’s Emily Ausmus Scores Her Fourth MPSF Newcomer of the Week Award

The freshman topped the scoresheet again in helping USC beat No. 15 Indiana in its MPSF opener.
USC freshman Emily Ausmus notched another MPSF Newcomer of the Week award — her fourth of the season — after helping No. 2 USC kick off conference play with a well-rounded win over the weekend.
Ausmus also continued her own scoring streak with a five-goal outing in USC's 21-12 MPSF win over No. 15 Indiana. With at least a goal scored in every game this season, she is now USC's third-highest scoring true freshman in history with her 63 goals scored in 2025. Against the Hoosiers, Ausmus also delivered two assists along with a steal and drawn exclusion. Her 5-of-7 shooting effort marked her 17th multiple-goal outing for the 17-1 Trojans.
Ausmus and USC are off to the Aztec Invitational next, with four games in two days taking place as San Diego State's Aztec Aquaplex on Friday and Saturday (March 14-15).
