March 11, 2025 | Men's Basketball
Desmond Claude was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention while Harrison Hornery was the Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree.
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference released the award winners for the All-Big Ten teams. Following USC Men's Basketball's first season in the conference, Desmond Claude earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention recognition while Harrison Hornery was named as USC's Sportsmanship honoree.
Claude landed on the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention team voted on by the media after being an instrumental player for the Trojans all season. He finished the Big Ten regular season averaging 17.3 points per game, which is the ninth-best number during conference play. He also is eighth in the conference in assists per game, dishing out 4.4 per game. He is also one of six Big Ten players this season who posted two or more 30-point games.
Hornery has been with the Trojans for four seasons and has proven himself a leader on this team. He steps up when called upon and gives back to his community, most recently volunteering to help distribute supplies to families affected by the fires. This award is given to chosen individuals who exhibit ethical behavior, are in good academic standing, and demonstrate good citizenship outside of sport.
The Trojans will be back in action on Wednesday, March 12, as they kick off the TIAA Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament against Rutgers. Tip-off will be roughly at 5:30 p.m. PT.
