USC’s Moritz Wesemann and Kate Miller Claim Springboard Events to Open Trojan Diving Invitational

Wesemann remains undefeated as a Trojan on 3-meter.
LOS ANGELES - Trojan fifth year diver Moritz Wesemann took the men's 3-meter competition, while sophomore Kate Miller won women's 1-meter to highlight USC's efforts during the first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
Wesemann led a 1-2 USC finish on men's 3-meter, claiming the event with a final score of 885.90. Senior Laurent Gosselin Paradis was runner-up with 760.50 points.
Kate Miller captured the women's 1-meter competition, tallying 600.60 points (296.45 from prelims). The win marked the second consecutive season the Trojan has captured the 1-meter event at USC's invite. Trojan Jenna Jagelski was fourth with 535.55 points.
Action continues tomorrow at 11 a.m. with men's platform and women's prelims. The afternoon will also feature the newly added team event at 3 p.m.
