LOS ANGELES – USC Men's Basketball has signed Adonis and Darius Ratliff, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today. These two recruits helped USC rank eighth in the Rivals Industry Basketball Recruiting Rankings as of the early signing period.
"Darius and Adonis have been well-coached their entire lives and have had an illustrious high school career," Musselman said. "They are three-time state champions. I had the pleasure of coaching their father, Theo, when he was a player for the Atlanta Hawks."
Adonis Ratliff played his high school career at Archbishop Stepinac. The Naismith Trophy Boys High School Player of the Year Watch List honoree averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per game on the way to helping his team win its third-straight CHSAA titles. The four-star recruit also competed at the USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp with other elite high school players.
"We're excited to welcome Adonis to our Trojan family," Musselman said. "He is an extremely unique player with his versatility on both ends of the floor. Our staff loves his ability to be positionless. Adonis is an excellent three-level scorer and does a great job as a two-way rebounder. Adonis has an incredible 3-point range, being able to shoot at a high rate with his size."
Darius Ratliff played his high school career at Archbishop Stepinac, where he averaged 9.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots per game. He was a part of a Crusaders team that won three straight CHSAA titles. The four-star recruit is the third-highest-ranked center in this class. The Naismith Trophy Boys High School Player of the Year Watch List honoree also competed at the USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp with other elite high school players.
"We're excited to welcome Darius to our Trojan family," Musselman said. "Darius has an incredible basketball IQ and has great versatility, being able to play both inside and outside.
