LOS ANGELES – The Big Ten Conference announced it's 2024-2025 Men's and Women's Swimmers and Divers to Watch List on Wednesday afternoon and four Trojans were selected: Krzysztof Chmielewski (So.) and Moritz Wesemann (Fr.) of the men's swimming and diving program, and Minna Abraham (So.) and Kate Miller (Fr.) of the women's swimming and diving program.
The watch list was determined by the conference's head coaches.
The four USC student-athletes all competed at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with Abraham representing Hungary, Chmielewski representing Poland, Wesemann representing Germany and Miller competing for team Canada.
Chmielewski earned CSCAA All-America honors as a first-year Trojan, finishing fourth in the 1650y freestyle at the 2024 NCAA Championships. During the season, Chmielewski set USC school records in both the 200y fly and 200m fly. At the 2024 Olympic Games, Chmielewski was fourth in the 200m butterfly and 16th in the 1500m freestyle.
During her colossal freshman campaign, Abraham became a five-time CSCAA All-American, five-time Pac-12 Champion and was named the Pac-12 Women's Freshman Swimmer of the Year. The Trojan helped USC to three conference relay crowns and two school record-setting relays. Abraham was fourth in the 200y freestyle at the NCAA Championships and set the USC school record in the event earlier in the season. Over the summer she represented Hungary at the 2024 Olympic Games, finishing sixth in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay, 10th in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay and 14th in the 200m Freestyle during her Olympic debut.
Trojan diving freshmen Miller and Wesemann will heavily contribute to USC's already talented diving contingent this year as both have extensive international experience. Both Miller and Wesemann were first-time Olypians at the 2024 Paris Games.
The University of Southern California swimming and diving program is set to begin the 2024-25 season in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 11th and 12th for the USC Invite.
