USC guard Bronny James was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second-round with the 55th overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft held at ESPN's Seaport District Studios in Manhattan, N.Y. today (June 27). Trojan point guard Isaiah Collier was selected by Utah in the first-round of the NBA Draft last night, making it eight USC men's basketball players selected in the last seven NBA Drafts, tied for the fifth-most selections by any college program in that span, trailing only Duke, Kentucky, Michigan and Kansas.
James played in 25 games, making six starts in his one season at USC, averaging 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. James also had 53 assists which ranked fourth among the 2023-24 Trojans and had 19 steals which ranked fifth on the team. The son of NBA great LeBron James scored a season-best 15 points at Oregon State on Dec. 30. James was ranked as the No. 19 recruit in 2023 by ESPN.com.

There were 10 different Trojan basketball players who appeared in at least one NBA game last season: DeMar DeRozan (Chicago), Taj Gibson (New York/Detroit), Jordan McLaughlin (Minnesota), De'Anthony Melton (Philadephia), Chimezie Metu (Phoenix/Memphis/Detroit), Evan Mobley (Cleveland), Isaiah Mobley (Cleveland), Onyeka Okongwu (Atlanta), Drew Peterson (Boston), Nikola Vucevic (Chicago).
