Trojans to play existing members once each, fellow new members twice
The USC men's basketball program's 2024-25 conference opponents for its first season in the Big Ten have been announced by the league office today (May 1). Each member institution of the Big Ten will play a 20-game conference schedule, playing three schools both home and away, while facing 14 teams once. Of the single-play opponents, member institutions will play seven at home and seven on the road.
The 2024-25 men's basketball season promises to be an exciting one as the new look Trojans and their head coach Eric Musselman, in his first season guiding the program, are introduced to the Big Ten Conference. USC will play each of the new conference schools once during conference play, either home or away. The Trojans will also play a home-and-home series with fellow new member schools and familiar foes Oregon, UCLA and Washington.
Big Ten opponents the Trojans will play only at home during the 2024-25 season are:Â Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.Â
USC will play seven Big Ten opponents only on the road: Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers.
Dates and times for the games will be released at a later date, as will USC's nonconference schedule.
