USC's Isaiah Collier Named Pac-12 Freshman Of The Week For The Fourth Time

Guard averaged 27.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in USC's two games
USC point guard Isaiah Collier was named Pac-12 Men's Freshman of the Week for the week of Jan. 26-March 3, it was announced by the conference today (March 4). It was Collier's fourth time earning the award this season and the 15th time a Trojan has earned the honor all-time, breaking a tie with Washington State for the most Freshman Of The Week honors by a conference school.
Collier led the Trojans to a road trip split at the Washington schools by averaging 27.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in the two games. For the week, he made 62.2 percent of his field goal attempts, 50 percent of his three-pointers and 75.0 percent of his free throws.Â
In the 75-72 loss at WSU on Feb. 29, Collier scored a game-high 24 points, including 10 of USC's final 12 points to try and hold off WSU. In the 82-75 win at Washington on March 2, Collier scored a career-high 31 points, including 8 of the Trojans' final 10 to successfully hold off the Huskies. The 31 points were the most by a USC freshman since Onyeka Okongwu scored 33 on Nov. 19, 2019 vs. Pepperdine. Â
In the seven games since he returned from injury, Collier has averaged 20.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Collier now ranks sixth overall in the Pac-12 in scoring (17.0 ppg) and tops among all conference freshmen. Collier also ranks fifth nationally in scoring average among all freshmen.
For the year, Collier leads all Pac-12 freshmen in scoring average (17.0 ppg), free throws made per game (4.0 fpg), assists per game (4.1 apg) and steals per game (1.57 spg).
