No. 5 USC Women’s Swimming and Diving Finishes Eighth at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – The No. 5 ranked USC women's swimming and diving program finished eighth in the team standings to wrap up the 2024 NCAA Championships on Saturday, March 23 at the Gabrielsen Natatorium at the University of Georgia.
USC, who finished the regular season 9-0 and second at the Pac-12 Championships, wrapped up NCAAs with 200 points. The eighth-place finish marks the Women of Troy's best finish at nationals since 2016. Virginia won their fourth-straight NCAA Team Title with 527.5 points.
Senior Kaitlyn Dobler was the lone Trojan to reach an A-final on Saturday evening, finishing sixth in 2:05.77 to earn All-American honors. During prelims, Dobler tied with Washington State's Emily Lundgren (2:07.30) for eighth and would partake in a swim-off only 55 minutes later to secure her spot in the championship final. During the swim-off, Dobler clocked a 2:05.96.
In the diving well, Trojan Nike Agunbiade wrapped up her USC career fifth in the platform diving consolation final, tallying 248.40 points. During prelims, Agunbiade was 16th with 251.85 points.
The Women of Troy turned in another All-American relay performance on Saturday evening as Vasilissa Buinaia, Anicka Delgado, Claire Tuggle and Minna Abraham combined to clock a 3:10.55 and touch sixth overall.
