Claudia Shevitz Selected to the ILWomen Preseason All-American Third-Team List

The midfielder was named the 2023 Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year last season
SPARKS, Md. - USC Lacrosse's Claudia Shevitz (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier HS) was selected to the ILWomen Preseason All-American List as a third-team recipient; the publication announced Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Senior midfielder Shevitz played a pivotal role in the program's success last season, which resulted in a Pac-12 championship and an NCAA appearance. The senior earned recognition in 2023 as the Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year and finished the season on the same publication's All-American Honorable Mention list. In 2023, the midfielder compiled 41 points (36 goals; 5 assists), picked up 20 groundballs and accumulated 27 draw controls.
Shevitz will help guide the Trojans as they begin their descent into the 2024 season starting at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9) against No. 15 Army at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y. USC is currently ranked No. 17 in the preseason. ILWomen/IWLCA Coaches Poll. The Women of Troy have high expectations as they hope to reclaim their Pac-12 championship in their final year in the Pac-12. USC was selected to finish first in the conference preseason coaches poll as of Feb. 1.
