CROSSExamination
- The Trojans are 60-30 all-time in road games and are 19-20 overall when they play in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- USC is 28-41 all-time against ILWomen/IWLCA ranked opponents. It is 1-1 against ranked opponents this season, as it opened its season with a win against No. 15-ranked Army (13-9), and recently fell to No. 6 Michigan (9-3).
- The Trojans will play this season in two different venues, as their first five home games will be at Health Dignity Sports Park in Carson, Calif., while their final two home games will be at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. USC will play these games offsite as its new stadium is under construction. The brand-new Rawlinson Stadium is set to open in 2025.
- The Trojans claimed the 2023 Pac-12 regular season title and Pac-12 Tournament Title for the first time since 2019. USC has won back-to-back Pac-12 regular season titles (shared with Stanford in 2022).
- The Trojans are facing all three opponents for the first time, as they make their way to the East Coast to play Towson, Johns Hopkins and VCU. Johns Hopkins is the second Big Ten opponent USC is seeing. The Trojans join the B1G next season.
- Heading into the season senior midfielder Claudia Shevitz was selected to the ILWomen Preseason All-American Third Team list. This is her second list to appear on as she was selected to the USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention list alongside teams Isabelle Vitale and Catherine Lord.
- Graduate student attacker Ella Heaney and sophomore midfielder Kate Gerrity were both named the Pac-12 Players of the Week after the first week of competition (Feb. 13). Heaney claimed Offensive Player of the Week, while Gerrity represented the Defensive Player of the Week honor.
- USC is currently ranked No. 16 in the ILWomen/IWLCA week three poll.
- The Trojans return two Pac-12 award winners to their roster, as senior Claudia Shevitz was named the 2023 Midfielder of the Year, and Kait Devir was named as the 2023 Co-Goalkeeper of the Year. Head coach Lindsey Munday was also named the 2023 Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
- Shelby Tilton recorded her 100th career point against Hofstra after a four-goal game. The senior captain has four-straight hat tricks to start the season.
- Against Army, Ella Heaney recorded her 100th career goal and now has 109 goals in her career, which ties her for the sixth most in program history.
- Isabelle Vitale now ranks second in program history with 78 career assists after her game against Villanova, where she tallied four assists.
