USC Baseball Falls Short Against Michigan, 8-5

LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team came up short against Michigan on Tuesday night, falling 8-5 to the Wolverines.
The non-conference matchup was held at Page Stadium on the campus of LMU. The Trojans fall to 2-6, while Michigan moves to 3-5.
Michigan got a grand slam from Will Rogers in the second inning and then tacked on two more in the third to take a 6-2 lead after three innings.
USC would score twice in the second when Andrew Lamb and Carson Wells singled home runs. KaiKea Harrison doubled a run home in the fifth to make it 6-3. The Trojans put two on with one out in the bottom of the seventh, but the next two batters flied out to end the threat.
The teams traded runs in the ninth, with Mitch Voit hitting a two-run homer for Michigan and Austin Overn hitting a two-run shot for USC.

USC heads to Texas for the Kubota College Baseball Classic at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Trojans will face No. 5 TCU on Friday and Sunday, and will face No. 7 Texas A&M on Saturday.
