The Trojans add another player to the class of '24 recruiting class
LOS ANGELESÂ - USC men's tennis welcomes the newest addition to the program, with blue-chip prospect Connor Church (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), head coach Brett Masi announced Wednesday, Feb. 21.Â
Â
Church becomes the latest international prospect to join USC's men's tennis program as the Canadian is set to join the Trojans in the Fall of 2024. Church currently ranks as the No. 100 player in the ITF Juniors rankings but peaked at No. 84 on Jan. 1, 2024.Â
Â
"Very excited to be adding Connor to the program," Masi said. "He has really risen up the ITF world rankings in the past year, and his best tennis is in the future. Connor is a great kid with a bright future. He's a very hard-working kid, and his character aligns with what we are trying to do here at USC."
Â
The incoming freshman has already impacted the tennis community, as he is recognized as one of the best players in the class of 2024. Church has been ranked as high as No. 10 in the class on the Tennis Recruiting Network and is the No. 3 ranked player in the U18 Canadian category. Church was given the honor of representing Team Canada in the Junior Davis Cup. The Canadian also hosts two ITF J100 singles titles and one J100 doubles title.Â
Â
"I am super excited to be signing with the USC Men's Tennis Team for the Fall of '24," Church said. "I am looking forward to being a member of a team with such an exceptional record for developing talent and winning championships while, at the same time, getting to experience USC's academic excellence.  Fight on!!!"
