The Trojans begin a new era as they journey into their inaugural season with the Big Ten
LOS ANGELES – USC lacrosse officially unveiled its 2025 regular season schedule as the Trojans compete in their inaugural year with the Big Ten Conference; head coach Lindsey Munday announced Thursday, Dec. 19. USC is slated for a 16-game regular season with eight-conference opponents. The Trojans will host nine games this season and will once again play at two different venues, with seven games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., and two at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.
USC opens its season at the Coliseum, hosting former conference foe Stanford in the first game of the new year. The Trojans 2025 slate will begin on Saturday, Feb. 8, as their nonconference schedule will carry them until the first Big Ten game on Sunday, Mar. 16. USC's second game at the Coliseum will open the new era as it takes on Johns Hopkins in the Women of Troy's first-ever Big Ten matchup. The rest of the home games will be at Dignity Health Sports Park, with seven games at the site: UC Davis (Feb. 21), Arizona State (Feb. 23), Saint Josephs (Mar. 4), Marist (Mar. 14), Northwestern (Mar. 30), Maryland (Apr. 5) and Oregon (Apr. 19).
"We are thrilled to announce the schedule for the 2025 season, our first in the Big Ten," Munday said. "This is going to be an exciting year in one of the best lacrosse conferences in the country."
USC's relocation for this upcoming season is a part of the university and athletic department's steadfast commitment to providing a best-in-class experience and world-class facilities for USC student-athletes. After receiving a $10 million gift from The Fritz B. Burns Foundation, the Women of Troy will spend two seasons away before returning to their new state-of-the-art home in 2026. "We look forward to competing in our new home in 2026. Rawlinson Stadium will provide our players and fans with a first-class experience in our home stadium," Munday said. "We are thankful for Dignity Health for hosting us last season and this season and we look forward to competing in their great facility."
USC will compete in eight nonconference games, including six games against former Pac-12 opponents, to start the season. The Trojans will begin with now-ACC foe Stanford at the Coliseum (Feb. 8) before journeying to the Bay Area to face another ACC team in California (Feb. 14). USC will stay in Berkeley, Calif. as it takes on now-Big 12 Colorado (Feb. 16), before a two-game home slate of UC Davis (Feb. 21) and Arizona State (Feb. 23). The Trojans wrap up the Pac-12 reunions with a trip to San Diego, Calif. to take on SDSU (Mar. 1). The final two games of the nonconference schedule will be home games against Saint Josephs (Mar. 4) and Marist (Mar. 14).
"Opening with Stanford in the coliseum sets the stage for an in-state rivalry in one of the greatest sports venues of all time," Munday said. "We are incredibly excited to continue contests against some of our former Pac 12 teams."
USC will face all eight Big Ten teams to open its inaugural year in the conference, starting with the Coliseum game against Johns Hopkins (Mar. 16). The Trojans will split their time at home vs. on the road with four road and four home games. USC takes on its first road trip after the game against the Blue Jays as it travels north to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face Michigan (Mar. 20), followed by Ohio State (Mar. 23) in Columbus, Ohio. The Trojans return to Los Angeles to take on Munday's alum mater, Northwestern (Mar. 30) and Maryland (Apr. 5). USC's final road trip will be at Rutgers (Apr. 10), followed by Penn State (Apr. 13). To wrap the regular season the Women of Troy take on Oregon (Apr. 19) on senior day at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Following the regular season USC will compete in the Big Ten Conference Tournament from Apr. 23-27 in College Park, Md.
"We cannot wait for great competition both in and out of conference and for the 2025 season to begin," Munday said.
